What if the thought making you anxious isn't the whole story?
The De-Catastrophizing Worksheet gives you a structured space to slow down, examine an anxious thought, and look at it from more than one angle.
Work through questions like:
What evidence do I have for this thought?
What evidence do I have against it?
What is the likelihood of this happening?
What is the best possible outcome?
What is the worst possible outcome?
How would I cope if the worst happened?
Would this matter in a week, a month, or a year?
Then come back to the thought and see what has changed.
Sometimes putting a worry on paper can help you separate what you know from what you're afraid might happen.
Use it as a personal reflection tool whenever your thoughts start jumping straight to the worst-case scenario.
Plan Everything 365. Plan it. Write it. Get it done.
